Border Collie
Breed Information
Holding the spot for the #1 smartest breed of dog in the world, Border Collies can be trained to do a multitude of things. Everything from basic obedience to service dog work, they are biddable, versatile, and very willing to please their person. Sufficient physical and mental stimulation for this breed is an absolute must.

Being well-known for sheep herding, Border Collies are extremely driven, hard-working, and very loyal. They are high-energy dogs who do best when they are given a job or kept busy. With a high drive, also comes the natural urge to nip. While you can train your puppy not to nip, please keep this all in mind when considering a Border Collie.
Not only are these dogs solid workers - but they are also amazing companions, and very loyal.
